You’re invited to Women’s Week at the U: March 3 & 4
You are invited to attend “Navigating the Leadership Path in Higher Education”, a lecture by University of Michigan President Mary Sue Coleman, on Friday, March 4 at noon, in celebration of Women’s Week at the University of Utah. Networking and light refreshments are from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm; the lecture goes from 12:15 to 1:15 pm at Orson Spencer Hall Auditorium, 260 Central Campus Drive at the University of Utah. University of Michigan President Mary Sue Coleman will share experiences and advice for women in and aspiring to leadership roles at all levels, from student organizations to large, complex research institutions. She has led Michigan since 2002, and previously was president of the University of Iowa for seven years.
On Thursday evening, March 3 at 7 pm at the U Oplin Union, you are invited to a performance of Women’s Week Monologues: “Ain’t Misbehaving–Women Making History, Fighting for Equality”. This evening of poetry, music, and performance art highlights women’s personal experiences with bending, breaking or side-stepping the rules. AAWCC member Mary Migliorelli will present a monologue from “Now That She’s Gone – Unraveling the Mystery of My Mother”, a one-woman play by Ellen Snortland, author and Huffington Post columnist.
